Tracking where our donations come from is crucial as our donors begin to age out and we actively seek a younger donor pool.

We launched our Annual Campaign with a QR code in the hopes of it increasing online giving.

2024 raised almost 10% more in monetary contributions compared to 2023

Here’s what I did differently:

2024

| Higher emphasis on the rhetorical appeal of Logos, instead of solely focusing on Ethos.

| Presented as an organization that is qualified and worthy of donations to help improve and expand our programming, not giving off a desperate plea.

| Included a section detailing the reality of why we’re needed, without exploiting our kids’ stories or solely focusing on the negatives.

| Longer, with more details painting what donations are actually used for opening up the ask to be more specific rather than a generic “We Need Your Support.”

| Parent testimonials highlighted how we continue to make the neighborhood a safer place.

| Made a point to ensure spacing, coloring and fonts made for a seamless and easy to read document.

| Focused on showcasing our kids and how they benefit from our programs.

| Utilized a QR code in addition to sending out envelopes, giving our donors multiple avenues to contribute from.
